Perhaps only the Gods on Mount Olympus themselves will be able to arbitrate in the current dispute at Southampton: who are the most beautiful, the girl students of Southampton University College, or the girls who work in the shops, offices, cinemas and cafes? Audrey Reed 20, a student started it all. Giving the reason why she and 349 other girls students would not enter a charity-benefit bathing beauty contest sponsored by the college, she said: 'We are all so attractive ... the town girls would never stand a chance ... so we backed out. The reply came from 19 year old Brenda Williams, a pretty and fiery cinema usherette: 'If they think they are all that beatiful, why not let us organise another contest?' And so the battle rages while the cries of battling General Election candidates are as wind in the willows in the background.
