    Une McLaren en LEGO à l'échelle 1/1
Pictures must credit: Lego McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris has completed a lap of iconic British racetrack Silverstone — in a life-sized Lego car. The 1:1 scale Technic model of a McLaren P1 supercar was made from 342,817 pieces and weighed in at around 1220kg. The car was the first Lego big build capable of steering and taking on tricky racetrack corners. Performance figures were not released. It was equipped with a battery-powered electric motor allowing it to travel further than any other Lego model before it. The big build process came to life with 23 specialists from design, engineering and building from Danish toy brick company and McLaren Automotive. It was the result of 8,344 hours of development and construction that needed 393 different types of Lego Technic elements. The build’s dimensions replicated those of the real-life model at 4,980 mm long, 2,101mm wide and 1,133mm high The motor was powered by a combination of Lego Technic batteries and an electric car battery.
