Make up artist transforms herself into famous faces, London Britain, June 2014

Marilyn Monroe skull face paint
Make Up Artist Transforms Herself Into Famous Faces
A London mother-of-two has the ability to transform herself into Wayne Rooney.
In support of England's debut at the world cup, Maria Malone-Guerbaa also turned herself into World Cup goal-scoring footballer Daniel Sturridge.
Maria used only make up and face paints to create the illusion of Sturridge and Rooney on her face.
She is also able to give herself a picture-perfect likeness of other famous faces including A-list stars Angeline Jolie, Morgan Freeman and The Queen.
After putting her passion on hold when she had her family, the 40-year-old's work has become a hit after she put it online.
Maria, who lives with husband Billy and children Sophia, 12, and Adam, 10, has since been invited to teach at a prestigious make-up event in Miami in 2015.
What makes her face painting technique so unusual, is that unlike other special effects make up artists, she does not rely on any prosthetic materials to create her 'faces'.
Maria only uses paint and her natural talent to create celebrity faces, footballers, zombies, 3D effects and even gory cuts.
As soon as she set up her make up page, her lifelike face painting went viral on Facebook.
Maria's transformations, which have become known as 'famous faces' to her fans, also caught the eye of the International Make Up Artist Trade Show- commonly known as IMATS, who have invited her to be a guest speaker this summer. (June 27-29)
The make up artist, who is originally from Limerick, has always had a talent and passion for art, and particularly enjoyed pencil drawing and charcoal sketches as a child.
After finishing school she applied to Limerick Art College, however Maria ended up turning down her place.
She explains: "I felt at the time that there wasn't anywhere f...

Artist Nails It With Stunning Portraits
At first glance they appear to be intricate ink drawings but these amazing portraits are actually made with a hammer and thousands of nails.
Former architect technician David Foster has quite literally hit the nail on the head with these extraordinary portraits, the 52-year-old spends weeks painstakingly putting together his Pointillism art.
David's pictures cover a range of subjects, including celebrities, animals, flowers and even a hammer and nail.
Highlights of his portraits include Queen Elizabeth II holding baby Prince Andrew, Steven Gerrard celebrating after scoring a goal for Liverpool, music legends David Bowie and Mick Jagger and sex-symbol Marilyn Monroe.
His largest portrait so far is of 'King' Kenny Dalglish, which is made from 31,950 nails, one nail for every minute he played in the League for Liverpool.
David, who is from St Helens on Merseyside, said: "Kenny played 355 League Games for LFC multiplied by 90 minutes equals the total amount of nails I used to make his portrait."
David bases his portraits initially on a photograph which he reproduces by stippling with an ink pen.
The inked drawing is then enlarged to mark out where the nails go and then the nailing begins.
Many thousands of nails later David will have the completed portrait.
Since winning the Warrington Contemporary Open Competition in 2012 with his artwork, David has continued to make enough hammer and nail portraits to hold a solo exhibition, which was in September.
And David doesn't have plans to stop any time soon, he said: "My work has evolved and developed over time, I now use tiny nails which e...

A set of six rare X-rays and a file of doctors' notes indicating that Hollywood sex symbol Marilyn Monroe underwent cosmetic surgery will be up for auction next month.
Beverly Hills auction house Julien's Auctions announced the sale on Tuesday 9 October and said the medical files, which reveal some of the actress's medical history, are expected to fetch between $15,000 and $30,000 (GBP 9,000 and GBP 18,000) at the Icons and Idols Hollywood Auction on November 9 and 10.
The file includes X-rays and doctors' notes from the office of Dr. Michael Gurdin, M.D. and the X-ray office of Drs. Conti and Steinberg.
With her eye-catching looks and perfect figure Marilyn Monroe was the epitome of Hollywood glamour and beauty.

The last entry of the medical files is dated June 7, 1962, and reports a fall at between 2am and 3am resulting in swelling and tenderness of the nose.
Monroe was brought to Dr. Gurdin by her psychoanalyst Dr. Ralph Greenson. She was then referred to Drs. Conti an...
