Despite the Hong Kong government's efforts to calm the situation by declaring the extradition bill is "dead", thousands of protesters still took part in anti-government protests in different areas of Hong Kong. Multiple clashes between protesters and the police have been reported and a large number of protesters have been arrested by the police.
