The professional photographer and guide for Exodus Travels has witnessed stunning sights in his adventures in far-flung locations from the Arctic to the plains of the Masai Mara. This gallery offers a snapshot of some of his most stunning images.
Paul, 50, from Wimbledon explains: "I first picked up a camera when I was about 10 in 1975 and my first job in the travel industry was in '83. I started photographing seriously over 17 years ago. I was working in travel and I loved wildlife, so it evolved naturally.
"I lead photographic expeditions to the Polar regions, Kenya and India. During game drives I like to push people hard so they can get the most from their cameras, but without the camera dominating the safari. I don't want them to just record species.

Photographer Mikael Buck with assistance from renowned local Icelandic guide Einar Runar Sigurdsson, explored the frozen world of Vatnajökull glacier in Iceland using Sony's world first back-illuminated full-frame sensor, which features in the 7R II camera. His images were taken without use of a tripod or any image stitching techniques in photoshop. This was made possible through Sony's new sensor technology, allowing incredibly detailed low-light hand held photography. Previously images this detailed would have required carrying bulky equipment to the caves, some of which can require hiking and climbing over a glacier for up to two hours to to access. The images were taken without the use of any external sources - just the natural light that filters through the ice caves.

Cambridge University students taking part in the annual cardboard boat race on the River Cam on Sunday afternoon
Cardboard Boat Race, Cambridge, UK - 18 Jun 2017
Students at Cambridge University battled it out on the river in a boozy boat race today (Sun) as part of their end-of-exam celebrations.
Around 2,000 undergraduates lined the historic Backs in the city centre to watch 20 teams cause chaos in a cardboard box boat race as the sun shone on the hottest day of the year so far.
The students were seen creating their homemade rafts with cardboard, glue and gaffa tape before trying to float them down the river.
One of the boats was named after Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, The HMS Jeremy Corboat, and even had a photo of him on the front.
Many participants downed bottles of wine and beer before starting the race and struggled to stay onboard their rafts.

Prince William dealing with an air ambulance patient, Cambridge, Britain - 22 Mar 2016
*Full story: http://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/s58v
Extraordinary pictures have been revealed showing the caring side of Prince William as he went above and beyond the call of duty at work, comforting a patient and even travelling with him in the ambulance. Photos show the Duke of Cambridge tending to and reassuring the man, who had been injured by a large tree branch, after flying him to hospital in the air ambulance yesterday afternoon (Tues). As co-pilot William is usually seen waiting in the helicopter cock-pit while his colleagues carry out the medical tasks. But this time it was the Duke who was the first to quickly jump out of the helicopter and pull the man, who was in his 30s, out on a stretcher after landing at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. He looked calm and confident as he then worked together with the paramedics to carefully move the patient, who had been injured by a tree branch at work, onto the waiting ambulance trolley.

Osprey catching a fish at a lake, near Aviemore, Scotland - 07 Jun 2013
Mandatory Credit: Photo by David Gibbon / Rex Features (2596982i)
Osprey's Tasty Catch Of The Day
This plucky osprey shows exactly what it is made of by catching something tasty for its dinner.
In an awesome display of precision flying, the raptor swoops down upon its intended fishy target before snatching it cleanly out of the water.
After making something of a splash, the osprey then reverses its trajectory and takes off to the skies again with the fish firmly clutched in its talons.
The amazing predatorial display took place at a lake near Aviemore in the highlands of Scotland.
The stunning shots were captured by husband and wife wildlife photography duo Dave and Louise Gibbon, who needed a lot of time and patience to snap these fantastic images.
Dave comments: "We staked out a loch for more than 10 hours over two days to get these shots, sitting from 4am".
Boasting a 2m wingspan, an osprey's diet consists almost exclusively of medium-sized fish.
Due to this the birds of prey have become uniquely adapted to the challenges of catching their favourite feast.
To begin with the osprey will fly above the water's surface in order to locate a fish - gliding and soaring anything from 30ft to 100ft (9-30 metres) high.
Once it spots its prey the bird hovers momentarily before executing a near vertical, feet first plunge into the water.
This dive can send the osprey up to one metre deep beneath the surface with the unlucky fish caught tight in its talons.
To assist with their hunting strategy ospreys have closable nostrils to keep out water during dives.
They also have backwards-facing spines on their talons upon which the fish gets hooked.
Once in flight the bird will even carry the fish headfirst in order to ease wind resistance.

What were they thinking? Fashion Disasters
It would seem that even the most fashion conscious of celebs can have an off day.
The stylists of these dreadfully dressed divas were obviously not around when they stepped out of the front door.
If they had they surely would have uttered that immortal line: "You're not going out like that!"
When left unattended there's no end of fashion faux pas a star can commit when looking for a 'stand out from the crowd' outfit.
But then looking fabulous 24/7 is something not even the most dedicated of A-listers can achieve.
And navigating the tricky minefield of fashion can be tricky at the best of times and pure style suicide at the worst.
Your 'unusual' outfit can just as easily be feted on every best dressed list as see you plunging to the bottom of the reject pile.
All of which goes to show that not even the hottest stars are immune to the odd fashion disaster.

A wild monkey has stunned animal lovers after it adopted an abandoned kitten and cared for it as his own. The long tailed macaque was spotted in a forest protectively nuzzling and grooming the ginger kitten, making sure no harm came to it. The extraordinary sight was captured by amateur photographer Anne Young while on a holiday to the Monkey Forest Park, in the Ubud region of Bali, Indonesia. Anne, 49, said: "I was thrilled and very surprised to see this scene as this is a wild monkey not a pet. "The young male was very protective of the kitten and became agitated if I went too close, at one stage trying to put a large leaf over it to hide it from my view." The monkey was even wary of other macaques and would not allow other young males to get too close. Meanwhile, the kitten seemed to enjoy the attention being lavished on it by its protective carer and made no effort to leave.

Who Looks Good Naked? Bare Faced Beauties
Forget taking your clothes off, the true test of a celebrity's beauty is when the make-up comes off!
Not even the most glamorous celeb can spend their lives as though they lived on the red carpet. So when it comes to their downtime most starlets opt for a little bare faced chic. Getting back to basics, out goes the mascara and hairspray and in comes dishevelled hair and shiny faces. Despite the fact make-up hides a multitude of sins, these stripped bare babes are all embracing that au natural look.
