Artist's Bikini Queen Picture Is Something To Write Home About
A picture of bikini clad woman created using postcards featuring the Queen is expected to sell for up to GBP 6,000 when it is auctioned.
Turner Prize winning artist David Mach created 'Girl In The Yellow Bikini' using thousands of identical postcards of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a yellow hat.
It is currently on display at Lyon & Turnbull's fine art auctioneers in Edinburgh before being sold at the end of the month.
Also up for sale is a collage picture of Marilyn Monroe created using red Lord Kitchener army recruitment postcards.
Mach is best known for using mass-produced 'found' objects to create his art, including magazines, newspapers, car tyres and matchsticks
