NEWS - US Botschafterin Haley präsentiert iranische Waffenteile aus dem Jemen-Krieg
December 14, 2017 - Washington, DC, United States: An Iranian Qiam class missile remnant on display at Joint Base Anacostia-Boling provides evidence of Iranian weapons proliferation in violation of United Nations resolutions 2216 and 2231. Patterned, machine-made welding marks, bottom left in blue, provide contrast to splotchy, field welding marks and provide proof of a missile’s disassembly and hasty reassembly for the purpose of hidden transport before it was fired into Saudi Arabia by Yemen’s Houthi rebels in 2017. Stephen Hawking. The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists (BAS) will move the minute hand of its closely watched 'Doomsday Clock' to reflect growing concerns about a 'Second Nuclear Age' marked by worsening threats, including: nuclear ambitions in Iran and North Korea, unsecured nuclear materials in Russia and elsewhere, the continuing 'launch-ready' status of 2,000 of the 25,000 nuclear weapons held by the U.S. and Russia, escalating terrorism, and new pressure from climate change for expanded civilian nuclear power that could increase proliferation risks. This is the first time that climate change has been factored into an adjustment of the hands of the clock.
