Montre tourne-disque vinyle pour les amateurs de disques
Pictures must credit: AndoAndoAndo Here’s a watch worth taking for a spin — it is made as tribute to a classic vinyl record turntable. The face looks like a record being spun on a Technics player. The record’s label has an "A" logo that points to the hour with the letter’s tip. The tonearm is the minute hand. A separate disc in the centre of the disc’s label acts as the second hand. This gives the constant impression the disc is turning. The watch was designed by Finland-based Japanese designer Yu Ando and sold through his company AndoAndoAndo. Ando said: “Inspired by the legendary Technics SL-1200 turntable, powered by Miyota 9039 Premium automatic movement, this wrist watch is not really a piece to tell you the time although it can do that well. “Instead, it tells people around you what kind of human you are, a sophisticated music lover!” The watch is available to pre-order from the AndoAndoAndo website for €395 euros. Un robot capable d'apprendre des tâches humaines simplement en regardant quelqu'un les accomplir a été développé par des scientifiques.
Un robot capable d'apprendre des tâches humaines simplement en regardant quelqu'un les accomplir a été développé par des scientifiques - Picture MUST credit: TU Wien A robot which can learn human tasks just by watching someone perform them has been developed by scientists. And the first task it was able to complete was cleaning a skink which could mean some of the more dirty jobs going to machines. The researchers got a cleaning sponge and equipped it with force and position sensors. Someone then used it repeatedly to clean just the front edge of a sink sprayed with a dyed gel imitating dirt. It generated a huge amount of data from a few demonstrations, which was then processed so that the robot learned what proper cleaning means The learning process was made possible by an innovative data processing strategy developed by the research team at Austrian university TU Wien. It combines several existing techniques from the field of machine learning. This innovative learning algorithm enabled the robot to clean the entire sink or other objects with a complex surface after the training, even though it has only been shown how to clean a single edge of the sink.
