Cedric Anselin is a French former professional footballer. He is a midfield player and was a French under-21 international. Anselin began his career in his native France with Bordeaux and Lille. Anselin has spoken about his long, and previously secret, struggles with severe depression. He had a breakdown in 2016 and tried to take his own life. He now speaks in schools and at public events to encourage young men and men in sport to discuss mental health issues and illness.
