June 27, 2017, King Philip received the board of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy for a luncheon. This organization is a global alliance of cities and local governments committed to the fight against climate change on a voluntary basis. Mr Maroš Šefcovic, Vice-President of the European Commission and Mr Michael Bloomberg, former Mayor of New York, are the co-chair. Lunch will be held at the Château de Laeken.
