A designer has created a unique jewellery range that places a 'miniature world' inside a clear-ring.

German-designer Isabell Kiefhabe spends several hours carefully creating miniature designs, which are encased in a see-through ring.

Isabell said: "I really like to place ordinary objects, that generally nobody pays attention to, into jewels. In addition, I add materials like gold-leaf, silver or pearls to make the pieces eye-catching."

In the pictures, tiny objects, such as an origami bird, a swimming scene and a mermaid can be seen encased inside a clear-ring.

The intricate work can take up to several hours to make one design.

Paw Blimey! Excited Dog Almost Turns Into Snowball
An excited terrier was almost turned into a giant snowball after playing in a huge snow flurry.

Soft-coated wheaten terrier Kenzie couldn't wait to get outside following a blizzard in Redmond, Seattle.

However, when owner Jeff Hall brought her back inside he was stunned to find her fur had become encased in ice balls.

Thankfully, following a warm bath Kenzie was soon back to her normal self and eager to run around outside again.

Jeff's daughter, Jamie, 21, said: "Kenzie has seen snow before, but never more than an inch or two and this was definitely her biggest snowstorm to date.

"She was incredibly excited and had been pawing at the door all afternoon, especially since she heard the neighbourhood kids playing outside.

"As soon as she went outside she rolled around for a while, and in the deeper parts she had to jump up and down.

"We were trying to knock snow out of the trees so they wouldn't break and when we finished we saw her.

"We were shocked and took her to the bath - she seemed to grudgingly accept that it was the only way to get the snow off".

Jamie added: "Kenzie is sweet but maybe a little simple - I think she's learned her lesson."
