Queen of the Waves; Britain's silver surfer: Gwyn Haslock, who at 71 still surfs every day. Gwyn was Britain's first competitive female surfing champion and has been surfing since she learned from her father in the early 1960s. Here she is at her home near Truro where she has lived since birth. Her parents bought the bungalow in the early to mid 1930s. Her garden is used each day to dry her wet-suits surf boots and helmet.
