The Instant Christmas Tree in a Box, Tree in a Box - The ultimate in lazy Xmas tree decorations, This internet sensation is a instant Xmas tree that goes from the box to twinkling in the corner in two minutes flat.
    Tree-Mendously Quick Christmas
    TREE-MENDOUSLY QUICK CHRISTMAS

For some it is the highlight of the weeks of preparations leading up to Christmas, while for others it is an ordeal of selecting, transporting, scratching, falling needles, broken fairy lights and digging out old boxes of straggly tinsel.

If you're one of the latter, or perhaps too infirm or simply with not enough time, then this new invention is right up your alley.

For around GBP 70 you can now buy the 'Tree-In-A-Box', a flat-pack festive tree that can be set up, decorated and lit in under two minutes.

The six-foot decoration arrives in a flat box, similar to that of a delivered pizza, which contains two 3-ft poles, tinsel, baubles and 200 twinkling lights, all already installed into the structure. Packed into a 31-inch wide circle, it extends out like a concertina to become a traditionally-shaped Christmas tree.

Having already gone on to the market in the United States, the invention has now reached British internet retailers.

For the ultimate Xmas lazybones this is a heaven-sent creation, especially since disassembling the Tree-In-A-Box before Twelfth Night is even easier than setting it up.

LONDON ROAD NAMED AFTER FRENCH VICHY ADMIRAL
    INHABITANTS WANT IT CHANGED

Many of the inhabitants of Darlan Road, Fulham, London would like the name of their road changed from the name of Darlan (the French Vichy Admiral) to something more patriotically British.
Some of them suggest ' Churchill ' or ' Wavell ' would be more appropriate, but it is said that roads are never named after living people in England.
If the name is changed the inhabitants will have to pay Half a crown each towards the cost.
Photo shows: Mrs Rowland, who lives at number 4 Darlan Road which they would like to see changed into something more patriotically British.
