Amnesty International UK installs 'Ecce Homo' statue at St Paul's Cathedral, London, UK - 11 Apr 2017
Kate Allen, Director of Amnesty International UK, helped by Canon Mark Oakley (Chancellor of St Paul's Cathedral), installs Mark Wallinger's 'Ecce Homo' statue at St Paul's Cathedral. The life-size sculpture shows the figure of Jesus Christ and was the first artwork to be shown on Trafalgar Square's fourth plinth in 1999. Mark Wallinger, who won the Turner Prize in 2007, said: "This vulnerable figure will stand at the top of the steps outside the entrance to St Paul?s Cathedral as we approach Easter to highlight the plight of people around the world who are imprisoned and whose lives are threatened for speaking the truth, and for what they believe".

FEATURE - Was für ein Scheiss: Asiatisches Restaurant macht auf Toilette
Mandatory Credit: Photo by Paul Brown/REX/Shutterstock (5900820j)
A visitor snaps a photo of their ice cream on their smart phone at the Modern Toilet restaurant. The Modern Toilet restaurant is situated in the trendy Ximending area of Taipei in Taiwan, just off the Xining South Road. It is one of a chain of restaurants which has grown across Taiwan from a small ice cream shop to a fully-fledged restaurant selling great food, often shaped and themed around the toilet and of course in toilet shaped dishes and glasses. It all started from an idea from reading the manga Dr. Slump on the toilet!
Now you can get your chicken in a toilet shaped bowl and drink your honey and aloe drink from a urine collection bottle that is more at home beside a hospital bed. And of course, the ice cream comes in exactly the shape and colour you would expect. In fact, you get four options of the huge ice cream dishes that are a great favouriteÉ toilet 1, toilet 2, toilet 3 and toilet 4. Of course, both Asian and European style toilets are available depending on your taste or the meal you order.
Modern toilet is a great fun themed restaurant which is popular with locals and tourists alike and people of all ages.

Predators Feast on 'No Man's Land'
These images take a fascinating look at nature's food chain in action.
Wildlife photographer Tom Schandy captured the grisly pictures of a dead moose providing sustenance to other wildlife.
Hiding out day and night on the border between Finland and Russia; nicknamed 'No Man's Land' because it is a popular feeding place for large carnivores Schandy secretly watched around the clock the dramatic wildlife event unfold.
Bears and wolves flocked to the dead female moose and feasted on its carcass until there was nothing left.
Schandy who was camouflaged less than 30 metres away from nature's wild feast told of a smooth stream of traffic to and from the dead moose.
He said: "During the course of the night eight bears and three wolves fought over the carcass.
"On occasion the bears and wolves would stand up to each other in order to get more of the fresh meat.
"Two of the bears even fought each other for the moose by standing on their hind legs and battling.
"Their roars sent shivers down my spine."

Former bin man Steve Jones, who travels around Europe photographing dustcarts, Britain - 01 Jul 2011
Mandatory Credit: Photo by Solent News / Rex Features ( 1378398b )
Another Rubbish Holiday
Former binman Steve Jones always has a rubbish holiday - because he travels around Britain and Europe to watch dustcarts in action.
The 48 year old likes nothing more than travelling hundreds of miles, tracking down the local waste tip and offering to work on the bins for free.
Steve's passion for rubbish has taken him as far a field as the Lake District, South Wales, Cornwall, Lancashire, Kent, Sussex, the Isles of Scilly and even Malta and Cyprus.
Steve, of Lake, Isle of Wight, has lovingly restored a rare 1982 Shelvoke and Drewry dustcart so he can drive it in his spare time and is in the process of restoring another.
It costs around 1,000 pounds a year to run the 1982 Shelvoke Drewry PN Mini even though he drives it little more than 400 miles in that time. It has a top speed of just 43mph.
Steve, now a self-employed gardener, said: "I fill it with clean cardboard once or twice a year, take it to a recycling centre and push it out again, just to make sure it all works fine.
"It takes me months to collect the necessary 1.5 tonnes of cardboard but it's quite satisfying to watch the crushing - I take a few photos of that each time.
"People think I have a strange hobby but nothing comes close to the thrill of riding in a dustcart.
"It's wonderful watching them in action. Even if I can't join in I love seeing them crush the waste and dump it at the tip."
Steve's bizarre fascination began when he was a child and spent school holidays following them round west London on his bicycle.
He started 'spotting' the trucks and kept a notebook with registration numbers, details of the carts and the names of the crew.
He explained: "As a child I remember a Bedford TK cab and chassis with an Eagle crush loader body coming to my home - that's how it started.
"I lov...

Orphaned Meerkats Thrive After Being Raised on an Aga, Axe Valley Bird & Animal Park, Devon, Britain - 22 Feb 2010
ABANDONED MEERKATS RULE THE ROOST
Brought up on an aga, abandoned meerkats Wren and Rascal had a somewhat unusual start to life.
They and a third sibling were rejected by their mother shortly after being born, tossed out of the den and into the cold.
Luckily for the tiny creatures their abandonment took place at the Axe Valley Bird and Animal Park, which is run by Jayne Collier and her husband Andrew.
Jayne is at a loss to explain why her breeding female rejected the trio, as she has raised youngsters in the past and has even gone on to raise another set since.
Whatever the reason, it was down to Jayne to become adoptive mum to the lonesome babies.
Despite her best ministrations one didn't make it, but Wren and Rascal proved to be made of tougher stuff.
The pair, who were just the size of a finger, spent their first weeks of life inside a glove on top of the Colliers' kitchen Aga
As they grew they were given free-range of the house, which brought out their destructive side.
Following their natural instincts, the dastardly duo spent their days digging and burrowing - scraping out the grouting between the kitchen flagstones and fluffing up the carpet.
And despite their shaky start in life the two certainly weren't timid; they would regularly join the humans for walks around the farm, terrifying the dogs with their sharp teeth.
Eventually Jayne built the tear-away twosome their own new pen, as they wouldn't now be welcomed back by their original family.
So as they approach their first birthday Wren and Racal are kings of their own domain and can even expect the arrival of two new females soon.

Wildebeest cheats certain death
Holiday maker captures snaps of crocodile attacking a wildebeest in the Masai Mara reserve, Kenya - 27 Jan 2010
Looking quite literally into the jaws of death, the future appeared bleak for this juvenile wildebeest.
As it crossed a crocodile-infested river with dozens of others in search of food it was picked off by one huge predator.
With its huge jaws wide open the large croc jumped out of the water to attack its hapless prey.
Luckily for the young wildebeest, the reptile mis-timed its jump by a fraction of a second and ended up with just a mouthful of water as it slid off the back of the hooved creature.
The wildebeest survived the scrape and managed to wade across to the other side of the Mara River in Kenya.
The stunning sequence of pictures was taken by British holidaymaker Austin Thomas.
Mr Thomas said: "You could say they are holiday snaps with a bit of bite!"
The 43-year-old was on a week-long break to Africa when he caught the natural encounter during an afternoon sat on the river bank with his camera.
The amateur photographer said: "I was watching this large group of zebras and wildebeest that had gathered on one side of the river for some time.
"It was obvious they wanted to cross but were biding their time. There were hundreds of them and about six or seven crocodiles in the river.
"Then as soon as one went they all went. After 30 seconds or so my attention was drawn to this young wildebeest that was at the back of the group and had become slightly separated.
"Then this crocodile came into view and I just kept my finger on the shutter after that.
"The crocodile came out of the water with its jaws wide open and it looked for all the world the wildebeest was heading straight into its mouth.
"But the wildebeest was going a bit faster that ...
