Inside High Bay 3 of the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the work platforms have been retracted from around the Artemis I Space Launch System on September 20, 2021. All ten levels of platforms were extended and retracted as part of an umbilical test. During the test, several umbilical arms on the mobile launcher were extended to connect to the SLS rocket. They swung away from the launch vehicle, just as they will on launch day. NASA and Jacobs teams will continue conducting tests inside the VAB before transporting the Orion spacecraft to the assembly building and stacking it atop the SLS, completing assembly of the rocket for the Artemis I mission. If you go down to the woods today ... you may just be as lucky as photographer Bret Charman and spot these beautiful brown bears. While many consider themselves lucky to get a glimpse of a bear, Bret was able to get remarkably up close to the animals - and they even appeared happy to pose for a set of stunning portraits set against the vibrant green of the forest. Bret comments: "I was invited to head out to Slovenia to photograph the bears and try to promote this population to the UK, trying to increase tourism. This population of brown bear is growing but is still under threat from hunting, particularly from hunting clubs which operate in the Dinaric Alps and across much of Central Europe.

The dog photography of Thomas Bakke, Norway - 2016
FULL WORDS: http://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/stqf
The relationship between one man and his dog has resulted in an amazing photographic partnership.
Thomas Bakke, from Norway, always enjoyed hikes with his four-legged friend Tarraq, but it was his early shots of the energetic canine that fostered an impressive interest in documenting their time together.
The results feature spectacular images of the five-year-old Saarloos Wolfhound breed dog set against jaw-dropping landscapes.
Highlights include Tarraq leaping between two huge boulders, as well as backdrops of mountain ranges, rivers and waterfalls.

Stalin World: The Strangest Theme Park In The World?
Welcome to Stalin World.
Tourists are seen touring the statues in Park Grutas - known colloquially as "Stalin World" - in the south of Lithuania.
The park features statues and other relics of the Russian occupation of the country that, according to the park, lays bare "the naked Soviet ideology which suppressed and hurt the spirit of our nation for many decades".
After Lithuania regained its independence in 1990 dozens of Soviet statues were taken down and dumped.
Local entrepreneur Viliumas Malinauskas peitioned the Lithuanian authorities to grant him the possession of these sculptures so that he could build a privately financed museum.
His aim was a controversial one but, despite fierce opposition from some, Park Grutas opened in 2001.
Since then it has faced a number legal difficulties, including a challenge from seven of the sculptors who claimed rights to 6% of the park's profits.
Viliamus called the claim "absurd" and later dumped the artists' sculptures outside the park, inviting the group to come and collect them.
Alongside the sculptures Park Grutas also boasts a Soviet-era playground, a restaurant serving Soviet-era dishes and a zoo.

Jordan, Middle East

The Unmissable Sights of Jordan, Middle East
Jordan, or the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as it is officially known, is home to some of the Middle East's most spectacular and unmissable sights.
From dramatic desert landscapes and ruined Roman cities to powerful biblical sites and a wonder of the modern world, Jordan is full of wonders.
Add to this its ancient culture and a friendly population, not to mention modern, diverse Arab cities, and you have a fantastic destination.
The country is bordered by Israel and the West Bank to the west, Syria to the north, Iraq to the east and Saudi Arabia to the south.
It is almost completely land-locked apart from a small outlet on the Red Sea in the Gulf of Aqaba and a frontage on the Dead Sea.
Amman is the capital and largest city of Jordan and forms a modern bustling metropolis that can also boast to being one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.
Originally built on seven hills it now spans an area of nineteen hills as its estimated two million strong population continues to grow at a staggering pace.
While Amman has a number of sites to interest tourists, such as the largest Roman theatre in Jordan, with room for 6,000 spectators, the city is a perfect base for exploring other parts of the country.
Umm Qais located on the site of the ruined Hellenistic-Roman city of Gadara, is a frequent destination for day trips from Amman.
It's popular not only because of its extensive ruins but also due to its position on a high hill and the panoramic views this provides.
Israel and the Golan Heights, which are claimed by and recognized by Syria but which have been under Israeli administration since the Six-Day War in 1967, can be seen. As can the Sea of Galilee.
However, it is a different watery attraction that is one of the highlights of any trip...
