Debris, crashed cars and evidence tents are seen on Railton Road in Brixton, south London after two people were shot last night. Police were called at about 19:50hrs on Sunday night to reports of gunshots heard on Railton Road, SE24. Officers arrived to find two men injured in the road. Despite the efforts of emergency services, they were both pronounced dead at the scene. The nature of their injuries has not been confirmed. A large cordon is in place.

Fatal shooting in Ilford

Police are investigating after two men were fatally shot, and a third left critically injured, following an incident in Ilford. Police were called to Henley Road, Ilford, following reports of a fight in progress and shots fired. Armed officers were among those responding. At the scene officers found three men with gunshot injuries. One of the victims, aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another of the victims died a short time later. Police believe they know the identity of the victim in his 20s. Work to confirm the identity of the other man is ongoing. The third victim, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Police were called at about 01:40hrs on Monday, 25 April to reports of a disturbance at a residential address on Delaford Road, SE16. Officers attended and forced entry. Inside, they found four people suffering what are believed to be stab injuries. Despite the efforts of emergency services, all four people ñ three women and a man - were pronounced dead at the scene. A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody.
