William & Kate Spend Anniversary At Country Pub
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary in true romantic style - by spending the night at a country pub.
William and Catherine celebrated 12 months of wedded bliss by cosying up together in a room at the Crown Inn in Westleton, Suffolk.
The royal pair surprised staff at the historic pub when they turned up in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Earlier, the couple had attended the wedding of one of Kate's best friends from school, Hannah Gillingham.
They then enjoyed a drink with friends in The Crown's bar before retiring to their GBP 165-a-night room.
William and Kate spent the night in the 'Swan room', described as one of the pub's best, which features a supersize four poster bed.
According to The Crown's website the room also boasts a 'stylish roll top bath big enough for two'.
The following morning the Duke and Duchess - who staff said wanted to "treated just like everybody else" - enjoyed a full English breakfast before departing.
General manager Gareth Clarke said: "We were made aware that some special guests were arriving but we didn't know just how special.
"It was a lovely family occasion with a relaxed atmosphere and they were both seemed really happy to be in a comfortable environment with friends".
He added: "They're the first royalty we've had staying with us. It's not every day you welcome the second in line to the throne."

William And Catherine's Wedding Cake
Cake designer Fiona Cairns created Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal wedding cake.
The eight-tiered traditional fruit cake was lavishly decorated with a floral theme and took centre stage at the couple's wedding reception at Buckingham Palace.
The confection consisted of 17 individual fruit cakes, 12 of which formed the base.
These were covered in cream and white icing and decorated with up to 900 delicate sugar-paste flowers.
Following a theme seen throughout the wedding, the cake featured 17 different iced blooms and foliage.
The base was covered in ivy leaves, symbolising marriage, and the bottom three tiers were decorated with daisies - meaning innocence - sweet William and lavender.
Then there was cascading orange and apple blossom, honeysuckle, acorns with oak leaves - meaning strength and endurance - and bridal rose, which symbolises happiness, and myrtle.
Lily of the valley - representing sweetness and humility - covered the sixth tier which also featured an interpretation of the couple's cipher - their initials intertwined below a coronet.
The penultimate tier was decorated with the four flowers of Britain - English rose, Scottish thistle, Welsh daffodil and Irish shamrock.
Meanwhile, the very final tier was covered with lace details with a garland of lily of the valley and heather on top.
Ingredients used in the cake included dried fruits such as raisins and sultanas, walnuts, cherries, grated oranges and lemon, French brandy and free-range eggs and flour.
Cairns and her team spent five weeks working on cake after being commissioned in February.
Cairns and her team have spent the last two days at Buckingham Palace setting the elaborate cake up.

Royal Wedding: Buckingham Palace Preparations
With just a matter of weeks to go preparations for the marriage of Prince William to Catherine Middleton are well underway.
Staff at Buckingham Palace are already getting ready for the reception that will take place after the nuptials on 29 April.
On the big day the Palace's state rooms will play host to an afternoon reception after the ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
This will be followed in the evening by a more intimate dinner and dance for 300 friends of the royal couple.
The action will take place in the Palace's west wing with the white drawing room, the music room, the blue drawing room and the state dining room all being utilised.
Meanwhile, the official multi-tiered wedding cake is expected to be on display in the nearby picture gallery.
In order to have the palace looking its best for the events staff are working hard to display it at its finest.
For example, the palace's greatest art will be on display, with masterpieces by the likes of Canaletto, Rembrandt and Rubens.
According to Edward Griffiths, Deputy Master of the Household, palace staff are used to hosting big events and cater to roughly 50,000 guests a year.
He said 60 people will be working at the afternoon reception, doing everything from opening car doors for guests to serving them canapes and drinks.
Meanwhile, guests will also sit down to a feast prepared by the Palace kitchens.
Head chef Mark Flanagan and his 21-strong team will be responsible for catering to the 600 people invited to the afternoon reception.
Details about the food selection and the wine list are being kept a secret but it is said that the food will show off "the best of British produce."
