Israel-Hamas War 2025: Anti Government Protest In Jerusalem
August 17, 2025, Jerusalem, Israel: Widespread protests take place across the country, with demonstrators advocating for a national strike and an immediate agreement for the release of the remaining 50 Israeli hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The call for action comes 681 days into their captivity, against a backdrop of public frustration over the government's handling of the conflict and continued Israeli military casualties in the Gaza Strip. The conflict was initiated by the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack and massacre, which resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,400 Israelis and the abduction of 240. A company behind a music video by US pop star Katy Perry has been fined for filming the promo with her in a protected area of Spain without permission.
TheFirework singer , 40, was filming for her single Lifetimes last July in the Ses Salines Natural Park on the Balearic Islands.
At the time, the Balearic Islands government said an investigation was underway after it emerged the video was filmed in a protected area without necessary permissions.
Parts of Katy's Lifetime video were reportedly filmed within the dunes on the islet of S'Espalmador, located within the Unesco World Heritage nature reserve that spans the islands of Ibiza and Formentera.
The environmental agency clarified that "in no case had the production company" sought permission to shoot in the Ses Salines National Park.
The park, which covers the south of Ibiza bd the north of its neighbour Formentera and the sea between them, is protected for its rich biodiversity.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and the Natural Environment said a preliminary investigation for possible environmental damage had been launched against production company WeOwnTheCity.
The firm was given a €6,001 Euros fine, according to Majorca Daily Bulletin. Which has been paid.
Officials said there was no lasting damage to the area.
In the Lifetimes music video, Katy is seen cliff jumping, dancing on a beach, and partying at popular nightlife spots on the islands.

A RICE DAY OUT IN THE SUN! A group of mill workers are seen from above, sorting and sun-drying large quantities of paddy, before threshing and processing the grains to be sold. These fields are located in Dhamrai, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Sabina Akter said, “Bangladesh ranks as the third-largest producer of rice globally behind only China and India. Rice is synonymous with food security in Bangladesh, serving as the primary crop and the main staple food.”
“After drying, harvested paddy or threshed dried rice are stored in appropriate places for future use and also to prevent deterioration in the quality of the grain.”
“Rice mill workers dry paddy, which is the rice plant before threshing, under sunlight in a traditional method. They are paid less than £2.50 a day for their work.”
