Here is the dramatic photo diagrams of the sensational climax of what police say is one of the weirdest murder plots in New York annals.
31 December 1946 : Mrs Olga Rocco, 28, of Brooklyn, stepped from train (at right) at Times Square Subway Station, New York, USA. Nineteen year old Pearl Lusk of Manhattan, who had left the train before her, thought she was taking a picture of Mr Rocco with a camera concealed in the Christmas box she was carrying. But the so called camera actually was a sawn off gun. The girls told the police that a man had hired her to do detective work and gave her the apparatus telling her it was a camera, and ordered her to take the woman's picture. Mrs Rocco was already once previously slightly wounded by a bullet on 1 November 1946. The shot was fired through the window of her Brooklyn home.
Police has been seeking her husband from whom she parted a short time before her first shooting, since that time. Mrs Rocco was critically wounded in the second shooting.
