CEREMONIAL DIP
11 November 1949
It was not much like a Hollywood premiere but 'movie' stars - British ones - attended the official opening of a 'laundrette' in Lancaster Road, West london, today (Friday). The stars were Zena Marshall and Paul Dupuis.
The 'laundrette' - of which there are now several in Britain - is a recent American idea. Customers bring their washing with them, and it is done in the 'laundrette' company's washing machines.
