'I think it's a new artform': Chris Fonseca, the man bringing Deaf dance to the mainstream Sasha Mistlin
With his primetime TV appearances, West End shows, tours and plans for a film, choreographer Chris Fonseca is using music and dance to explore his identity. But he rejects tokenism, and 'it's not a Ted talk'

Chris Fonseca, 33, meditating on the multiple aspects of his identity. Fonseca has been Deaf since the age of two, he communicates to, via a BSL (British Sign Language), in an eloquent blur of hand gestures, facial expressions and body language.

Chris Fonseca and Harry Jardine ( white t shirt) are the creators of a new stage production called “Follow the Signs” premiering at the Soho Theatre on August 23, 2022. Chris Fonseca and Harry Jardine have created a production based on Chris Fonseca's life growing up deaf and black. The production stars Chris Fonseca, male wearing glasses, Harry Jardine in white t shirt, Raphaella Julien, wearing red dress and Gaia Ahuja, blue jean shorts.

I come from a country of strong women: Oti Mabuse on fame, family, Strictly - and that samba.
Oti Mabuse Ö We were the first generation that was able to just do whatever we wanted, without restriction.

The Strictly Come Dancing star has left the show that made her name in the UK but her creative, competitive spirit loves a challenge ñ with three projects on the go, sheís not standing still.

Oti Mabuse is the only person ever to win Strictly Come Dancing two years in a row, but the great unspoken rule about competitive television is that people donít really care who wins.
