Argentina 'Dia de Memoria' 2009
Mar 24, 2009 - Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina - A banner stretching for blocks along the Avenida de Mayo contains pictures of the 30,000 who went missing during the military dictatorship in Argentina. The annual day of rememberance, Dia Nacional de la Memoria por la Verdad y la Justicia is marked with a parade to the Plaza de Mayo on March 24. This year's event, March 24, 2009 marks the 33rd anniversary of the beginning of the military rule. It was March 24,1976 that the military overthrew the government of Mar?a Estela Mart?nez de Peron.
