But this barking mad Cockapoo appears to have taken the game to a new level - by climbing trees in pursuit of her ?prey?. One year old Fern was snapped scrambling up a Pine tree in Achilty Forest near Inverness in the Highlands.

Owner Margaret Robb said ?I threw a stick for Fern and it went past the tree, but she seemed to think it landed on it, because the next thing I knew she had taken a run up and leapt onto the tree trunk. She then tucked her hind legs underneath her body to give herself some grip and started to climb. I?ve had dogs for 30 years and I?ve never seen anything like it. Fern is always leaping around anyway and my friends call her the Ninja dog, but now that she has figured out that she can climb trees she?s always doing it.? Margaret posted a snap on Facebook and it has had over 90,000 views. She added?The photo has received lots of interest with people joking that she was more like a bear cub than a dog and some have said that she should be re classified as a Koalapoo.?
