Son épouse, Isabelle Balkany a écopé, elle, de trois ans ferme. Malade, l'ex-maire a échappé au mandat de dépôt comme en première instance. Cependant, leur condamnation étant assortie de l'inéligibilité immédiatement applicable, ils ont été déchus de leurs mandats de maire et maire adjoint de Levallois-Perret.
