Chioma Nnadi to replace Edward Enninful as head of British Vogue
London-born editor of Vogue's US website to become first Black female head of the fashion title.

By the time London fashion week had begun last weekend, it was already the industry's worst kept secret.

But after months of conjecture surrounding who would replace Edward Enninful, the 51-year-old outgoing editor of British Vogue, CondÈ Nast has told the Guardian that London-born journalist Chioma Nnadi will take over the role on 9 October.

Once in post, Nnadi, currently editor of the US edition?s website, will be known as head of editorial content, rather than editor-in-chief. She will also become the first Black woman to edit the storied fashion magazine.

Big Zuu: 'We're a multicultural society. I'm eating fish and chips - in a pitta!'
Food TV's brightest new star, Big Zuu, on Big Eats, how fame just snowballed for him - and the secret to his mac and cheese.

Big Zuu arrived at last year's Bafta TV awards as the underdog. He'd been serving food to comedians on his cooking and chat show, Big Zuu's Big Eats, since 2020. He talks to famous people about what they love to eat and then he knocks them up a three-course meal in his van.

It was up for best entertainment performance and best feature, against mainstream titans such as Graham Norton, Michael McIntyre, Alison Hammond and The Great British Sewing Bee. To Zuu's obvious amazement, he won both categories.

  • Lucy Webster learned to love her disabled body - why can't her non-disabled friends love theirs?
    DUKAS_160266061_EYE
Lucy Webster learned to love her disabled body - why can't her non-disabled friends love theirs?
For years Lucy Webster blamed her disability for her adolescent unhappiness. Then, as an adult, She learned to embrace and celebrate her body. She wishes others could do the same.

Disabled women face even more negative messages about our bodies than our non-disabled counterparts, and this is especially true for those of us who are young.
When people stare open-mouthed or flinch in horror, when people tell us that if they had to live in our bodies they would kill themselves, we are implicitly and explicitly told that our bodies are ugly, disgusting and broken; as far from the ideals of femininity as it is possible to be.

Lucy is a political journalist, writer and disability advocate.

  • A haunted life: how Danny Robins became Britain's high priest of the paranormal.

A haunted life: how Danny Robins became Britain's high priest of the paranormal.
Once a struggling comedy writer, Danny Robins is now a highly successful podcast presenter and playwright. His secret? Ghosts.

Danny Robins has never seen a ghost and it troubles him, even if, he says, he is torn "between wanting proof, and yet being terrified by what that would mean". Instead, he lives vicariously - as we all do, those of us who are fans of his podcasts - through the people who tell him their ghost stories.

Robins has become Britain's most famous collector of paranormal experiences; his 2021 podcast The Battersea Poltergeist, was a huge hit, and his latest, The Witch Farm, is a creepy investigation into a haunted remote farmhouse in Wales.

  • Why I live in Thornton Heath: Yomi Adegoke on the south London area that's 'holding out' against gentrification

Why I live in Thornton Heath: Yomi Adegoke on the south London area that's 'holding out' against gentrification
Yomi Adegoke's debut novel, The List, is set to be adapted for TV. She explains why suburbs like her neighbourhood are underrated.

Two years ago I bought a two-bedroom flat in a block near Thornton Heath station, which is almost like a suburb of Croydon. I'm five minutes from my little sister, 15 from my parents and a short bus ride from my best friend.

Growing up, my parents would worry if I went to Brixton or Peckham, but now those areas are gentrified, which is a double-edged sword. Croydon feels like how all of south London used to 15 years ago. Sometimes I think itÕs ungentrifiable. ItÕs holding out.
