ICE 2026: Minneapolis Operation Metro Surge: Pretti Crime Scene
January 25, 2026, Minneapolis, Mn, USA: A bullet was found inside the Nicollet Adult Day Care, behind Alex Pretti's memorial, on January 25, 2025 an irony given Trump's justification for deploying federal agents to Minnesota was to protect day care centers while targeting illegal immigrant communities, even though no significant fraud was found, and most Somali-born are are legal US citizens. Minneapolis police entered the building that serves older adults to get warm and watch an unsecured crime scene. The Minneapolis state BCA located the bullet only after securing a warrant 24 hours later, following ICE's refusal to allow entry. (More than 30 hours after Pretti's death, federal investigators had still not visited the building, despite multiple people walking through rooms that may have held critical evidence.) Pretti had been there just days earlier, having coffee with the owner. The center is closed to the public while investigations continue. (Credit Image: © Amy Katz/ZUMA Press Wire (FOTO: DUKAS/ZUMA)

Little House On The Prairie alum Alison Arngrim, 63, makes a very rare public appearance as she runs errands on a sunny afternoon in Los Angeles. The popular actress, who played resident mean girl Nellie Oleson on the popular Western drama series from 1974 to 1982, was spotted visiting an apartment complex in Westwood on the afternoon of June 18, 2025, where she stayed for over an hour. She showed off trendy blue finger nails and wore a blue top that had a white leaf pattern, blue jeans and red sneakers. In January Netflix announced a reboot of the iconic show, revealing it will be “part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West”. But a month later Alison confirmed that she and other OG cast members are unlikely to be involved. “None of us, as far as I know, our gang, are in at this point,” she revealed in an interview with ReMIND website.

Syrian chlorine victims can finally speak out
Syrian chlorine victims can finally speak out.

A chemical attack on the town of Douma killed 43 people in 2018. Now Assad has fallen, the enforced silence of those who witnessed it is over.

Chlorine is not as dangerous as sarin - a nerve agent that deposed president Bashar al-Assad deployed against civilians on several occasions in the 13-year civil war. But because chlorine is heavier than air, it sank down through the storeys and street-level gratings into two basements. At least 43 people choked to death, their blistered bodies blue and black when civil defence workers brought the corpses out to the street.

Fracking's return stirs fury in Pennsylvania town of Dimock whose water turned toxic.
The small town of Dimock saw its water become brown, undrinkable, even flammable - and its residents are still feeling the effects.

Fracking has burst back on to the national stage in the US presidential election contest for the must-win swing state of Pennsylvania. But for one town in this state that saw its water become mud-brown, undrinkable and even flammable 15 years ago, the spectre of fracking never went away.

A small campaign sign for Kamala Harris is displayed on a home's lawn, while a "Trump Coming Soon" sign is visible on a barn in the background. Looming behind them is the A & M Hibbard oil and gas waste facility, operated by Coterra.
