LEOPARD SPOTTED IN LONDON - Nat Geo 'WILD' unleashed the first ever realistic animatronic leopard, which was spotted roaming the streets of London in the early hours of this morning. The leopard has been created to mark the start of Big Cat Week and raise awareness about serious threats to the habitats of big cats, and their dwindling numbers. Leopards are faced with up to 90% habitat loss, finding themselves roaming urban streets in places like Mumbai. The animatronic has been created by John Nolan Studio, the team behind animatronics for Harry Potter, 'Spy in the Wild' and many more. Big Cat Week airs on Nat Geo 'WILD' from 6-12 March with U.K. premiere episodes each night at 8pm.

A photorealistic 3D drawing of the moon
The realistic art of Stefan Pabst, Germany - 30 Oct 2015
    FULL COPY: http://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/refh

You won't believe your eyes when you see the work of artist Stefan Pabst.

The 35-year-old creates jaw-dropping 3D illusion art and photorealistic potraits of famous faces.

His work ranges from spine-chilling spiders that appear real enough to touch to stunning drawings of stars including Scarlett Johansson and Angelina Jolie.

Stefan uses a range of paint brushes for what he calls '3D drawing' using the trompe l'oeil technique; a French term literally meaning "trick the eye".

Jeong Woojae, 32, from Seoul brilliantly illustrates the difficulty children have transitioning to adulthood and how much comfort a pet dog can provide. He explains his frustration with a fast paced environment where "people are living a life for just making money with forgetting about value and purpose which every individual has."

In Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar, on July 6, 2025, the Friday Martyr's Procession Square witnesses a dramatic and realistic reenactment of the Karbala Incident, which occurs in Karbala more than 1,400 years ago. This event, in which Imam Hussein ibn Ali, his family, and his supporters are martyred in defense of the values of truth and justice, is attended by thousands of citizens. The event is filled with emotions, takbirs, and tears. A group of young believers presents a realistic theatrical performance that brings to mind the bloody moments in the Karbala desert. The scene of the cavalry attack on the infant Abdullah and the children of the Prophet's family catches the eye, amidst the mournful cries of takbirs from the assembled crowd.
