Animal mug-shots - 2016
FULL COPY: http://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/sf7l
What are you looking at?!
Globe-trotting couple Chanel Cartell and Stevo Dirnberger have taken a series of hilarious animal mug-shots during their travels.
The series includes curious sheep, hungry rabbits, inquisitive cows and drooling bulldogs.
Chanel and Stevo quit their jobs 14 months ago and have been travelling the world ever since. The couple have visited 31 countries so far, and been papping animals along the way.
Chanel and Stevo said: "In order to get the style of picture we were after, we would use a wide-angle lens and we'd need to get really close to the subjects, which is tricky in itself. You then use the camera's continuous shooting function, and hope that the eyes remain in focus - this is the most important part."

Thoughtful monkey looks like Auguste Rodin's 'The Thinker', Indonesia - 16 Sep 2011
Manadatory Credit: Photo by Karsten Wrobel/Solent News / Rex Features (1461419e)
Thoughtful Monkey Is Furry Thinker
This cheeky monkey looked like he was plotting mischief as he adopted a thoughtful pose.
With his foot on his chin, the crested black macaque appeared to be taking inspiration from Auguste Rodin's famous sculpture "The Thinker".
Karsten Wrobel captured the scene beside a lake in Tangkoko National Park on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi.
The photographer believes the macaque may have been 'plotting' how to become alpha male of his group.
Karsten said: "I was travelling through the park when I saw this macaque sitting close to the shore of a lake.
"He rested his head on his foot and looked like he was thinking.
"It reminded me of Rodin's The Thinker.
"It put a big smile on my face and that of the ranger who was guiding me through the park.
"His reaction made me think he had not seen the macaque in this pose before either.
"I've no idea what the macaque was thinking about but my ranger said he was probably thinking about how to become the "number one" of his group.
"I like that idea too.
"The picture reminds us how close we humans actually are to monkeys and apes".

US President Barack Obama reflects during a budget meeting in the Roosevelt Room
President Obama Marks First 100 Days in Office
PRESIDENT OBAMA MARKS FIRST 100 DAYS IN OFFICE
As President Obama marks his 100th day in office today (29 April) it would seem that most people are happy with the job that he has done so far.
According to the most recent national polls more than six in 10 Americans have given the President the thumbs up.
When he was elected Obama promised a sweeping change in U.S. policies at home and abroad.
Now that his initial 100 days in office are over many will take this opportunity to assess the moves he has made so far.
Obama?s first task after coming to power was to gather a close team around him, and this now includes Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Hilary Clinton.
Then there was just enough time to enjoy his many inauguration balls, and settle into the White House with wife Michelle and daughters Sasha and Malia, before the real work began.
One of the new President?s biggest challenges, and one of his largest promises, revolves around the troubled US economy.
In response he has introduced a $787 billion (534 billion pound) economic stimulus package. However, most experts agree that it is still too early to judge what impact this strategy will have.
Obama also pledged to seek direct diplomatic engagement with U.S. foes and has so far reached out to countries such as Cuba and Iran.
His first 100 hundred days also saw, as promised, moves to close Guantanamo Bay in Cuba and halt the use of harsh interrogation methods on foreign terrorism suspects.
The Iraq war was also a sticking point and Obama said that he would withdraw all U.S. combat forces from the country within 16 months of taking office ? a move that now has an August 2010 deadline.

Turk gained instant notoriety when he was refused a degree from the royal college of art after he presented, in his show called Cave, a whitewashed studio space, containing only a blue heritage plaque (of the kind normally found on historic buildings) commemorating his own presence as a sculptor.
