Sorelle defying the sub-zero temperatures for her bikini-themed photo shoot
Woman does bikini shoot in the snow, Iceland - Mar 2016

You can take a person out of Australia, but you can't take the Australian 'summer' attitude out of the person...

A photographer has been defying the cold and sporting a bikini in sub-zero temperatures for a photo shoot.

Australian photographer Sorelle Amore created the photo series 'Bikini in the Snow' after falling in love with Iceland and deciding to live there long-term.

Sorelle was inspired to do the bikini shoot on a whim after witnessing the beauty of heavy snowfall.

She said: "I grabbed my bikini, a towel, some sunglasses...and the first photo of the series - sunbathing in the snow - came to life!"

After a great response on social media, Sorelle continued taking the photos, creating a series of 25 photos.

Toulouse Bake Under Oppressive Heat As All France
A pharmacy thermometer indicates 41?C in Toulouse, France, on August 12, 2025, during the heatwave. France suffocates under its second heatwave of the year. In Toulouse, temperatures reach 41.5?C. This heatwave is remarkable for its intensity: numerous departments are on 'red alertness heatwave'. Streets are empty during the hottest hours. Some temperature records are and will be broken during this heatwave, especially in the southwest. France is 8 to 15?C above normal temperatures for August. This heatwave is due to a phenomenon in omega where a drip of hot air is blocked by fresh air. Nearly all departments, such as Haute-Garonne (Toulouse), are placed on red alert heatwave, and sixteen are placed on orange alert. This heatwave comes at the same time climate experts say limiting global warming to +1.5?C won't be achievable as agreed in 2015 during the COP21 in Paris. All of southern Europe bakes under unusually hot temperatures. (Photo by Alain Pitton/NurPhoto)

Toulouse Bake Under Oppressive Heat As All France
The unusually quiet Capitole Place in Toulouse, France, on August 12, 2025, is under oppressive heat. Cafes' terraces are also empty. This heatwave is due to an omega phenomenon where a drip of hot air is blocked by fresh air.
