Primate Pals: Gorilla Welcomes Monkey To Enclosure
They may have only just met but these two young primates already seem best friends.
In fact, soon after they were introduced to each other at Dublin Zoo, the red-capped mangabey looked to be whispering conspiratorially in the ape's ear.
The newly arrived mangabeys will be sharing the Gorilla Rainforest with the Zoo's gorilla family. The distribution of western lowland gorillas and red-capped mangabeys in Africa overlaps.
The mangabeys are a bachelor group which was formed to assist the European breeding programme for this species. Red-capped mangabeys are vulnerable in the wild and found in the forests of Western Africa.

Commenting on the introduction of the two species, Helen Clarke Bennett, Team leader at the African Plains said: "It has been very exciting to watch the red-capped mangabeys and the gorillas getting used to each other over the past few weeks. When the time came for them to meet face to face things could not have gone better. The younger gorillas in particular are very curious about the mangabeys and keen to get to know and play with them."
"To introduce and keep these two species in the same space and ensure that they live harmoniously together is a challenge but so far it has been very successful," the zoo says.

Is it a bird? is it a plane? Erm? no, it's Super Squirrel.
These hilarious pictures show a real squirrel gingerly approaching a very strange visitor to Dublin's National Botanic Gardens this week.
The odd scene came after Mick Veale, a 35-year-old web designer, decided to take his new eBay purchase of a taxidermy 'Wild Grey Super Squirrel' to the park.
To his delight, the diminutive superhero soon attracted a friend seemingly anxious to get a closer look at the odd spectacle.
Despite initially baring its teeth at the stuffed stranger, the squirrel ended up appearing to whisper sweet nothings into its ear.
Mick bought the GBP 80 stuffed creature online from an English "experienced taxidermist" from Tamworth who listed it with the sale pitch: "Great present for someone with a squirrel problem."
Mick explains: "I've always loved squirrels since I was a child, so when I saw that I could get my own one, with superpowers, I jumped at the chan

All For Charity.
A snapshot backstage after The Night of 100 Stars charity event at the London Palladium in aid of the Actors’ Orphanage. Noel Coward was President, so he invited many of his friends to perform, including the legend Marlene Dietrich. The show started at midnight and finished two hours later.
In the now comparative quiet of the Dietrich dressing room, Coward whispers a bitter sweet nothing in the receptive Dietrich ear.
