The costume worn by original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter for the classic 1970s TV series has sold for almost a quarter of a million dollars.
Carter, now 73, played superhero Amazon princess Diana Prince in the show which ran from 1975 to 1979 and spawned 60 episodes.
The complete ensemble was divided up into separate lots by US auction houser Julien’s Auctions.
The original bodysuit worn by her in her iconic role along with Wonder Woman’s bullet-repelling gold bracelets sold for a record $130,000 USD/ €115.560 euros.
Her tiara headpiece and earrings went for $26,000 USD / €23.110 euros , Lasso of Truth prop for $32,500 USD / €28.890 euros and original knee-high boots for $52,000 USD / €46,220 euros.
The full costume’s total of $240,500 USD / €213.780 euros including the bodysuit eclipsed the Wonder Woman costume worn by Gal Gadot in the 2017 film, previously sold by Julien’s for $117,000 USD / €104.000 euros.
The body suit lot was snapped up by Beverly Hills tech investor Anthony Jabin, who has added the iconic centrepiece to a private collection that includes the largest personal archive of Marilyn Monroe outfits and images.
He said: “I'm thrilled to win this incredible piece of television history. It'll look great in my collection next to Marilyn Monroe's bathing suit.”
The Wonder Woman collection was part of a TV -themed sale with outfits and props from some much loved shows.

OPS:At the same TV memorabilia sale Benjamin "Hawkeye" Pierce’s original surgical scrubs and mask worn on M*A*S*H* by the series’ legendary star Alan Alda made $26,000 USD / €23.115 euros.

Santa Muerte In Tepito, Mexico City
May 1, 2025, Mexico City, Mexico: In Mexico, the belief in Santa Muerte, a deity of pre-Hispanic origin, has never ceased to be worshipped throughout the country. The main altar to this deity is located in the Tepito neighborhood. Its owner, Enriqueta Romero or Dona Queta, has welcomed thousands of people since she placed the altar outside her home. Believers in Santa Muerte come to celebrate the first days of the month with music, drinks, cheers, and figures from their personal altars to be blessed by other believers and to pay or give thanks for the miracles she has performed for them. Reclusive Cheers alum Shelley Long, 75, looks unrecognizable as she enjoys a late fall stroll around her LA neighborhood with a male friend. The actress, who found fame as ditzy barmaid Diane Chambers on the TV sitcom, keeps an extremely low profile these days and made headlines for not showing up to a 40th anniversary reunion of the show at this year’s Emmys Awards in January. This month marks 20 years since she was reportedly hospitalized after an apparent suicide bid following the collapse of her 22-year marriage to her second husband, securities-broker Bruce Tyson. Shelley has been single since then and currently resides in the Pacific Palisades area of LA. For her outing on November 20, 2024 she wore gray sweat pants, a hoodie top and baseball cap. At one point she bumped into a lady with a dog which she patted affectionately.
