A procession of about 500 walkers with head torches climbed the Lake District fell Catbells overlooking lake Derwentwater near Keswick, Cumbria on Saturday night. The Catbells Festival of Light was organised and supervised by Lakeland Mountain Guides to raise money for Community Action Nepal. Almost a year ago on 25th April 2015 an earthquake devastated Nepal resulting in over 7,000 deaths, and so many more people had their lives turned upside down

An American start-up has created a series of portable showers-on-wheels to help the Homeless.
Not-for-profit start-up Lava Mae repurpose old buses.
The organisation turns the old buses into bathrooms on wheels, giving homeless people an access to a hot shower and use of a bathroom.
The buses turn up at various locations, six-days of the week.
The invaluable service is helping to improve the quality of life of America's homeless in San Francisco.
For many living on the streets, hygiene is a real barrier that makes it difficult for the homeless to get back on their feet.

Prince William and Catherine Duchess of Cambridge today visited Summerfield Community Centre, which is at the heart of the Winson Green Community. The Winson Green area was very badly affected by the riots last week. The Summerfield Community Centre is the key meeting place for young people in the Winson Green area. During the visit the couple met with local community members and business people affected by the recent disturbances, the local multi-faith reference group, the emergency services and local dignitaries
