ART FROM DOLLARS
Here's an artist who may not be made of money (yet), but her works are - they are entirely created from cut-up dollar bills.
Irina Truhanova's cash creations range from a portrait of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to a dollar depiction of a geisha.
Other work highlights include a samurai, a motorbike, a Bentley car and the Statue of Liberty.
The 22-year-old from Riga, Latvia, who ironically gave up her job as an international businesswoman to follow her artistic dream, starts by sketching out her subject in pencil.
She explains: "Once I have an idea of how the picture will look I can select parts of real dollar bills and cut them out. These small fragments are bought together to form the whole image.
"I wanted to create mosaics that personified freedom, independence, business and capital, and using real U.S. currency seemed to fit this perfectly.
"What is amazing is that I believe I can implement any idea or image I can think of just using the bank notes.
"I first showed my collages to friends an relatives and they were amazed so I decided to advertise my work on the internet.
"I received requests for commissions very quickly and within a few months I realised I could stop using my office job to make money and support myself by making money pictures full-time."
Irina's works can sell for hundreds of dollars, so she must be coining it in!

Spangles The Cross-Eyed Cat
Meet Spangles, the cutest cross-eyed cat pirate you will see this year.
The adorable kitty is picking up legions of fans after his proud owner Mary Buchanan posted a picture of him in swashbuckling costume online.
Now the three-year-old feline has his own Facebook fan page where five thousand followers eagerly await daily pictures.
Spangles can so far be seen dressed in quirky costumes including a frog, tiger and unicorn.
Mary, 25, a college student from Spartanburg, South Carolina, took him in from a neighbour when he was five months old.
She explains: "Spangles was born on July 4th, so with the Star-Spangled Banner that's how I got his name.
"He was born with one cross eye, but he's never had problems walking or anything. He's never run into things, or wobbled. He can see perfectly fine. He has been checked out by a vet, and no surgery is needed to correct his sight.
"He was close to death when I got him, covered in tons of fleas. I got flea medicine on him and the next day he was running around literally climbing the windows!
"Now he's a fairly lazy kitty, but loves to go outside on his harness, play with leaves, be held upside down, and loves water, especially drinking from the faucet.
"He's a total Mama's boy. He will pose for me, and let me know when he's in a glamorous mood."
Although 'Spangles' noted on a Facebook post: "I was being very stubborn today for my Mama ... I wouldn't let her take pics of me in my new hats."

War On Christmas: Alan Sailer's Exploding Toys
If you are excited about Christmas, look away now.
Serial object destroyer Alan Sailer has turned his twisted attention to exploding much-loved toys.
The high-speed photography fanatic has selected children's favourites and destroyed them with firecrackers.
And thanks to his photographic expertise, the 57-year-old has managed to capture the moment the poor playthings were blown apart.
Unfortunate toys and characters include a Mickey Mouse mug blowing its top, Tweety Pie losing his head, a troll head cracking up and a Rubik's Cube exploding into pieces.
Alan, from Camarillo, California, explains: "The poor defenseless toys are common so I pick them up from garage sales. I try my best to keep the costs under a dollar per shot.
"I will admit that it is fun to mess with toy archetypes. I have to smile when an icon of sweet innocence like My Little Pony crumbles to pieces in rather horrifying way."
To blow up the objects Alan uses a firecracker modified so that it can be fired using an electrical signal. He then has to synchronise the opening of the camera shutter with the explosion. It does not need to be really accurate, but it does need to be better than lighting a fuse.
"The camera is unimportant, it's not a special camera. I use a Nikon D90 for most of my shots. I have also used an old Nikon F3 film camera, a Canon G6, Rebel XT etc. The camera must have a manual focus and manual settings is all.
"The flash is the key, that and the detector/trigger. I use a home built flash based on a model built in the 1950s by Harold Edgerton. The flash is really fast about 1 millionth of a second and it stops the action.
"The detector/trigger is also critical. It detects that the debris from the explosion has arrived and fires the flash at just the r...

The adorable kitty not only has a very distinctive stare, but just loves donning cute outfits like these new Christmas costumes.

Prague-based Kristián Mensa, 17, focuses on creative work with everyday objects that are often overlooked.
In the pictures a screw can be seen instead of a trumpet and a series of bolts have been used to represent bar stools.
Meanwhile, a flower has been used to replace the body of a grammarphone and a flower has also been used to replace the head, and beak, of a hummingbird.
Pieces of kit-kat have been used for piano keys, and pasta has been used to represent honey pots and ship chimneys.
