The Glass Cube, quite literally a large glass cube installed in Umeä's Radhustorget, just in front of the town hall, is an example of interactive architecture. Free to anyone, visitors use it as a performance space. Once a sleepy town in the far north of Sweden, Umea is undergoing a major transformation befitting its title as the European Capital of Culture this year.
