Famous polar bear KNUT celebrating his 2nd birthday
Berlin, 2008-12-05 / Celebrity polar bear KNUT turned two on last Friday, serenaded by fans at the Berlin zoo as he demolished a birthday treat of fish and vegetables. KNUT was hand-raised after his mother rejected him at birth. He rose to stardom early last year as an irresistibly cute white ball of fluff, but has grown rapidly since. A crowd of about 200 erupted into 'oohs' and 'aahs' and sang 'Happy Birthday' to KNUT as he sporting a shaggy, brownish coat and lumbered out into his enclosure. KNUT tore into his birthday present from keepers, a cloth bag bearing his name and the number 2 that was full of fish and a birthday cake of frozen vegetables. Then KNUT turned his back on the crowd and slunk off toward some rocks.

Lily Allen showed her cheeky side last night during a performance at G-A-Y. Trussed up in a blue nautical style outfit and thigh high stockings, the less than shy singer happily bared her bottom at the audience. During the night it was revealed that her new single The Fear had topped the charts and she was presented with a celebratory cake. To begin with the 23-year-old took to the stage in a full pink panther outfit before stripping off to reveal her GBP 395 Agent Provocateur Marine Sailor body. As part of an encore she donned a shiny electric blue skirt, jacket and hat, reminiscent of the outfit worn by Britney Spears in her 'Toxic' video, to perform her version of the singer's hit 'Womanizer'. The night's performance also saw Lily sing tracks from both her first and newest album, It's Not Me, It's You.

The Obamas mixed with a host of stars last night at a Latin inspired concert at the White House.
'Fiesta Latina' is the latest instalment of a White House Music Series, which has seen a number of musical celebrations take place.
Hosted by Michelle Obama, the aim of the concert series is to celebrate a wide range of musical genres.
Eva Longoria Parker, George Lopez, and Jimmy Smits were co-hosts of last night's festivities.
Musical performances came from the likes of Gloria Estefan, who took to the stage with Jose Feliciano and soon got the Obamas and their guests dancing.
Watching from the audience were power couple Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Estefan's music producer husband Emilio Estefan and Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
"Although Latin music takes many forms, the spirit of diversity also unifies us," President Obama said in an opening speech.
He added: "Even though it's constantly evolving, Latin music speaks to us all in a language we can understand about hope and joy, sorrow and pain, friendship and love. It moves us, and it attempts to make us move a little bit ourselves."
