John Terry's Position In Doubt
JOHN TERRY'S POSITION IN DOUBT
While Chelsea and England captain John Terry's private life has been making all the back and front pages of the newspapers, he let his head do the talking in his professional life on Saturday afternoon, nodding home his team's winner in their 2-1 away victory against Burnley.
Allegations are rife throughout the press - now that the court super-injunction gagging the media has been lifted - that Terry, 29, had an affair with Vanessa Perroncel, the girlfriend of his former Chelsea teammate Wayne Bridge, despite Terry being a married father-of-two. None of the parties involved have denied the rumours.
There have been widespread calls for Terry to lose his position as captain of the national football team before this year's World Cup in South Africa, claiming Terry prolific and lucrative job makes him a role model for younger generations and one which has been tarnished by this affair.
This is not the first time Terry has been rumoured to have cheated on wife Toni: past reported conquests include glamour models Linsey Dawn Mckenzie and Alicia Douvall.
His family have also been tainted by scandals: newspapers have published stories allegedly uncovering his mother as a shoplifter and his father as a small-time cocaine dealer.
Model Perroncel, no longer girlfriend to Wayne Bridge, who is currently playing for Manchester City, is the mother of his son Jaydon Jean Claude Bridge.

Mini mum Karina White with daughter Freya and husband Paul
Britain's smallest mum, Karina White, Bolton, Britain - Jul 2009
BRITAIN'S SMALLEST MUM
She's not much taller than the average five-year-old so Karina White is used to people assuming the tot she's pushing is her baby sister.
But the 3ft 9ins mum delights in telling them the little girl is in fact hers - even more so because Karina was told her tiny size meant she could never be a mum.
It was feared that her little frame, which is caused by a rare growth condition, would not support a pregnancy bump.
However, Karina, 33, proved them all wrong when she fell pregnant last January.
Baby Freya was delivered by emergency C section on 17 August last year at 33 weeks.
Seven weeks premature, she weighed just 3lb 8oz and was kept in hospital for 12 weeks, finally going home in November last year.
Now doting mum Karina, who can only just see over the handlebars of her pram, says baby Freya has made her dreams come true.
Even the attention they receive from strangers, who do a double take when they see what they think is a young girl pushing a pram, doesn't bother her.
"They can look, I'm happy to show my gorgeous daughter off to the world," smiles Karina.
"Usually when they see my face close up they realise the mistake and look embarrassed, which is a shame because I'm not embarrassed at all".
Now eight months old, baby Freya, who has inherited the same growth condition as her mum, weighs 9lb 1oz - the same size as some newborns.
However, Karina and her husband Paul, 38, love being parents so much they haven't ruled out having another one.
"Yes it's tough, but what new mum doesn't say that. She is the centre of our world and such a happy little girl," says Karina.
Baby Freya's birth really was a dream come true for Karina and Pa...

Baby Freya's birth really was a dream come true for Karina and Pau...

Abandoned spotty baby lamb adopted by Dalmatian dog, Barossa Valley, Australia - 11 Aug 2012
Mandatory Credit: Photo by Media Mode Pty Ltd / Rex Features (1816249c)
Spot The Difference
With his black and white spotty coat it is little surprise that this lamb is having something of an identity crisis - thinking he is a Dalmatian dog.
The black and white youngster has been born at a dog breeder's in South Australia's Barossa Valley.
After being rejected by his mother he was quickly adopted by dog Zoe and the pair are now inseparable, much to the amusement of breeder's John and Julie Bolton.
Dalmatian Zoe was quick to show the abandoned lamb love and affection - licking her adoptive son affectionately and generally taking care of him.
Now the spotty lamb, who is a cross between a pure-bred white Dorper ram and a Dorper and Van Rooy ewe, happily follows her around the farm and even sleeps inside the dog kennel.
According to Julie, the confused little lamb has even tried to suckle from Zoe but has to make do with a bottle instead.
