The wind driven Rim Fire has burned out of control for over a week, burning close to 200,000 acres. Approximately 2,500 firefighters are fighting the blaze that started on August 17.¬ As of August 25, the fire was 15% contained but moving closer to the entrance to the park where more tourists are attracted.
