    In a message to the Facebook group “Polish mums of Leeds”, Timmins appealed for donations to send to those in need 1,300 miles away.

    Magdalena Timmins, whose family in Poland live near the Ukraine border, with some of the clothes, toiletries and food parcels which dominate her home in Allerton, West Yorkshire, after she organised a group of Polish mums in Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield to make collections to send to refugee camps in her native region.

    In a message to the Facebook group “Polish mums of Leeds”, Timmins appealed for donations to send to those in need 1,300 miles away.

    Parcels of food, clothing and toiletries being sorted at a farm at Barwick in Elmet, West Yorkshire, ready for dispatch to refugee camps after Magdalena Timmins, whose family in Poland live near the Ukraine border, organised a group of Polish mums in Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield to make collections to send to her native region.
