U.S. Navy 'swim calls' - 2016
When you're job is sailing the seas, the World is your swimming pool.
These amazing pictures show sailors and marines from the U.S. Navy taking part in what they call 'swim calls'.
Most recently pictured earlier this month (Feb) are those cooling off by jumping from into the Indian Ocean from guided-missile cruiser USS Antietam.
With the ship anchored, Swim Calls are seen as a refreshing break from the job of keeping high-tech battleships running.
The activity often occurs in warm foreign waters, such as the Mediterranean, Arabian and South China seas, the Indian and Pacific oceans.
Suffice to say, there will be people tasked with shark watch, from the ship and rigid-hulled inflatable boats.
Swimmers are able to clamber back onto the ship via landing docks or by climbing cargo nets.

Her Ladyship met Her Majesty last night, as Lady Gaga was politely asked "what do you do?" by Queen Elizabeth at this year's Royal Variety Performance in Blackpool.
In a surreal fashionista nod to the monarch's ancestor and namesake - but in a less flesh-flashing manner than is her norm of late - Lady Gaga wore a red PVC dress complete with enormous ruff and puffed sleeves, together with some bizarre jewelled red eye shadow.
Maintaining whatever dignity you can when playing piano suspended 20 feet above the ground, Gaga was ultra-careful in offering the Queen the deepest curtsey her outfit would allow, both after her performance and during the traditional face-to-face meeting all performers have with Her Majesty - she was also well-versed in knowing not to speak until spoken to and to address the Queen as "Ma'am."
However, the US singer-songwriter, aka Steffani Germanotta, was specifically banned from performing in front of the Queen her now standard 'suicide' stage routine of stabbing herself and releasing fake blood.
The annual performance was being held in the northern seaside town for the first time in nearly 35 years since 1955 when the stars were George Formby and Morcambe and Wise.
This time round the host was funnyman Peter Kay, with guest performances from Alexandra Burke, Katherine Jenkins, Miley Cyrus, Michael Buble, Chaka Khan, Lulu, Anastacia, Mika, Bette Midler and Diversity.
Classical singer Faryl Smith led the national anthem, alongside The Soldiers - a trio who served in Iraq and Afghanistan and have released a Christmas single.

Much to the delight of his mentor Cheryl Cole, X Factor favourite Joe McElderry has won the singing competition - walking away with a GBP 1million recording contract. On the Saturday night the young singer performed with George Michael. Meanwhile, his fellow competitors performed duets with Robbie Williams and Michael Buble respectively. After a shaky start to his duet, Robbie also returned to sing solo. The Sunday night final extravaganza saw a host of guest performers take to the stage before Joe was eventually crowned X Factor king. Paul McCartney appeared singing "Drive My Car", joined by all of the 12 X Factor finalists. The former Beatle then moved to a piano to sing Bond anthem 'Live and Let Die'. And when the inevitable happens comparisons are simply unavoidable.

Alexandra Burke was shooting scenes for her latest music video in downtown Los Angeles.
The 21-year-old X Factor winner showed off her shapely legs in a pair of denim hotpants teamed with a red and white striped top, a straw trilby and a pair of tasseled ankle boots.
As part of the video, the singer was driving an ice cream van with a Union Jack on the back of it.
The single, which is due for release in August, was produced by RedOne who engineered her previous top ten hit `Broken Heels'.
Earlier this month the song leaked on to the internet and was reviewed by one fan as a 'summer song in the vein of Boney M's 'Hooray Hooray It's A Happy Holiday.'
