Brits are bracing for a sweltering lockdown heatwave with temperatures set to soar past 30C today. With the mercury expected to hit 31C in London and 33C in the south of England, forecasters and medics are urging people to take extra precautions to stay safe in the sun. A level two heat alert has been issued by the Met Office for England, with the heatwave expected to intensify even further tomorrow with temperatures likely climb to 34C.
